Body Composition Analysis Report
An overview of your basic vital information along with the key measurements of everything listed below.
Visceral Fat
What it is: A measurement of body fat stored within the abdominal cavity, surrounding vital organs such as the liver, pancreas, and intestines.
Why it matters: Unlike the fat you can pinch under your skin, visceral fat surrounds your organs and is strongly associated with conditions like type 2 diabetes, heart disease, fatty liver disease, and certain cancers.
What you can do: Regular exercise, strength training, a diet rich in whole foods, quality sleep, limiting alcohol intake, and managing stress can all help reduce visceral fat. Tracking this measurement over time can show whether your lifestyle changes are making a meaningful difference.
Subcutaneous Fat
What it is: A measurement of the fat located just beneath your skin. Subcutaneous fat plays an important role in hormone regulation and acts as an energy reserve and insulation for the body.
Why it matters: While subcutaneous fat has many benefits for your body, too much of it can lead to chronic health issues. Looking at subcutaneous fat alongside visceral fat provides a more complete picture of your body composition and overall metabolic health.
What you can do: Focus on building sustainable habits rather than trying to eliminate body fat altogether. A combination of regular physical activity, balanced nutrition, and maintaining a healthy weight supports a healthy balance of subcutaneous body fat.
Liver Fat Analysis including a Liver Fat Distribution Map and Liver Fat Grade
What it is: Liver fat refers to the accumulation of fat, primarily triglycerides, within your liver cells. Your report includes a Liver Fat Distribution Map, which uses color to show how fat is distributed throughout your liver, and a Liver Fat Grade that classifies your results as Normal, Mild, Moderate, or Severe.
Why it matters: High levels of liver fat can be a sign of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), a common and serious condition. Because fatty liver disease often develops silently, with few or no symptoms in its early stages, measuring liver fat can help identify changes early and monitor how your liver responds to improvements in diet, exercise, weight loss, or alcohol consumption.

Abdominal Organ Assessment
What it is: A measurement of the size of your liver, spleen, and kidneys.
Why it matters: Organ size varies from person to person and can change over time. These measurements provide a baseline and help identify changes that may be signs of organ inflammation or tumors and warrant further evaluation.
What you can do: While you can't directly control the size of your organs, maintaining a healthy lifestyle and staying up to date with preventive care can support organ health. Comparing measurements over time may help identify changes worth discussing with your healthcare provider.
Total Muscle Volume
What it is: A measurement, in milliliters (mL), of how much skeletal muscle you have throughout the body.
Why it matters: Muscle is about more than strength. It plays an essential role in metabolism, healthy aging, balance, mobility, and maintaining independence later in life. Additionally, higher muscle mass levels are associated with better metabolic health and physical resilience while declining muscle mass is associated with poorer health.
What you can do: Resistance training, eating enough protein, and staying physically active are some of the most effective ways to build and maintain muscle. Monitoring muscle volume over time can help ensure you're preserving muscle as you age or while losing weight.
Lower Body and Hip Muscles
What it is: Measurements of the muscles in your hips and legs, including your iliopsoas, piriformis, glutes, thighs, and calves.
Why it matters: Maintaining lower body and hip muscle volume is important for supporting your posture, improving mobility, balance, and stability, preventing injury, and enhancing physical performance.
What you can do: Exercises like squats, lunges, step-ups, and deadlifts can strengthen your lower body and improve balance, stability, and mobility. Your report measures muscles including your iliopsoas, piriformis, glutes, thighs, and calves, allowing you to track changes over time as you build strength.
Symmetry Analysis of Lower Body Muscles
What it is: A comparison of muscle volume on one side of your body with the other to assess how balanced or imbalanced they are.
Why it matters: While some muscle asymmetry is completely normal, greater symmetry allows your body to move more efficiently and may improve posture, athletic performance, and lower your risk of injury. Larger imbalances can contribute to chronic pain, reduced performance, inefficient movement patterns, or injury.
What you can do: If one side is significantly stronger than the other, unilateral exercises, such as single-leg squats, lunges, or step-ups, can help improve balance. Understanding Your Results
Throughout your report, you’ll receive a series of population bars and graphs with a black dot that indicates your measurement and where you are in comparison to others in the general population.
The information provided in the report is intended to assist qualified healthcare providers in the diagnosis and monitoring of metabolic diseases, muscle diseases and metabolic components of diseases in a general population and should not solely be used as a tool for detection or diagnosis of any medical condition.
You can share your report with your healthcare provider for any insights on whether or not any interventions are needed. For example, your hepatologist could advise you on the state of your liver.
